The Little Pink handbook
This is an introduction to how we view employee ownership, leadership and sustainable development at Euro Accident. You play an important role in contributing to both your own success and our shared success.
Our shared foundation in everyday work creates confidence and clarity in how we work together towards our goals. It is built on a shared mindset and shared ways of working.
This foundation goes hand in hand with our culture. A culture that is shaped and expressed through our daily interactions and through the way we take responsibility for our performance and development.

Euro Accident is a Swedish life insurance company operating in Sweden and Norway.
We specialise in personal risk insurance and have built strong expertise in this field over many years.
Our insurance solutions are purchased by companies that want to insure their employees. All sales are conducted through brokers and partner collaborations.
Since our foundation in Växjö in 1996, we have grown into an established company with operations beyond Sweden.
Today, we are more than 500 employees with offices in Stockholm, Växjö, Oslo, Örnsköldsvik, Belgrade, Malmö and Gothenburg.
We want to contribute to a safe and healthy world.
We actively assist companies, organisations and individuals to develop their health situation, and to deal with poor health and its consequences through insurance policies as the financing vehicle.
For us, insurance and health go hand in hand. We do not only provide financial compensation; we also strive to contribute to better health, improved work ability, enhanced quality of life and greater resilience for those insured with us.
Through our insurance solutions, in-house experts, early support, rehabilitation and care, we make a real difference for individuals, businesses and society.
At the heart of our work is our Sustainable Employees methodology. It combines knowledge of health and working life with our own experience and focuses on helping people stay healthy, productive and able to work over time.
For us, it is not only about what we offer our customers, but also about how we work ourselves – practising what we preach.
When we aim to help our customers create Sustainable Employees, it starts in our own everyday work. We strive to create the same positive conditions for ourselves that we know make a difference for our customers.
This means actively investing in our work environment, our culture and the conditions that support health and sustainability.

We are on a transformation journey where we continue to develop our business, our ways of working and our organisation.
In recent years, we have made significant investments, including in digitalisation and new ways of working. These investments are now delivering results through more efficient processes, faster service and better support in everyday work.
Our direction is clear: we will grow profitably and continue to develop our business so that we can help more people.
Happy Business is our long-term strategy and the foundation for how we manage and develop our business.
Our current strategy runs from 2022 to 2027.
It focuses on working smarter through digitalisation, automation and improved ways of working – Smarter Business – while further strengthening what we already do well – Already Smart.
Sustainability runs throughout our strategy and is a natural part of our business.
Three overall goals guide our work:
EA Spirit is what we often call the special something that has always existed within Euro Accident, even though it can be difficult to describe. It shapes our everyday experience and makes Euro Accident the workplace it is. It is about the people, the relationships and the way we work together.
EA Spirit has evolved over time, has been an important part of our success and will remain central to our future.
With our core values as a compass, our culture is shaped through our daily interactions. It is reflected in how we collaborate, communicate, take responsibility and treat one another, our customers and our partners.
We care! We take responsibility and engage in our work and the world around us.
We act! We take ownership of our responsibilities and tackle the challenges we face.
We develop! We show courage and a willingness to try new things and explore new ways of working.
To be successful over time, we need to continuously develop how we work, collaborate and interact with one another in everyday work.
We often illustrate this through an arrow with two parts. The blue section represents structure, including goals, plans, processes and systems. The pink section represents culture, including how we collaborate, communicate, take responsibility and contribute in our daily work.
Both are essential. Clear structures create the conditions for success, while culture influences how effectively we use them and how we make things happen together. When they work in harmony, we create the best possible conditions for success.
As part of our transformation journey, we place particular focus on strengthening self-leadership, collaboration across teams, functions and countries, increasing business understanding and making smart use of our digital tools.
When our employees take responsibility for their performance and development, collaborate effectively and contribute their engagement and expertise, we create success together.
At Euro Accident, employee ownership is about much more than simply having a role or carrying out tasks.
Your employee ownership is reflected in how you take responsibility for your performance, your development and our shared results.
It is about how you collaborate with others, contribute to our common goals and actively help shape the culture we want to create.
Strong employee ownership is built on self-leadership. This means that you:
Self-leadership does not mean doing everything on your own. It develops through interaction with colleagues and managers, supported by dialogue, clear expectations and feedback.

Anna, Customer Service
Leadership and employee ownership are closely connected and depend on one another.
As a leader, you are responsible for results, the business, the work environment and your employees. At the same time, you need to lead both people and work.
This means setting goals, developing ways of working and processes, and creating the right conditions for people to succeed.
Leadership can be described in three parts:
Understanding your own drivers and behaviours and developing through reflection and feedback.
Creating engagement, clarity and involvement. Coaching, providing feedback and supporting employee development.
Taking responsibility for the bigger picture, driving change and acting as a role model.
A Sustainable Employee is someone who both wants to and is able to contribute through their work, maintains good wellbeing over time and still has energy for life outside work.
It is about experiencing meaning in what you do and having the ability and resources to handle both opportunities and challenges over time. This is also the foundation of our Sustainable Employees methodology when supporting our customers.
The conditions for Sustainable Employees at Euro Accident are created through the interaction between employee ownership and leadership.
To remain sustainable and perform over time, certain fundamental conditions need to be be in place.
These can be described through three dimensions based on the Sense of Coherence (SOC) model (known as KASAM in Swedish).
When all three dimensions are present, motivation, engagement and sustainable development can thrive.
There is a clear understanding of goals, direction and expectations.
The right skills, resources and conditions are in place to perform the work.
The work feels important and contributes to something of value.
Leadership plays a crucial role in creating clarity, the right conditions and engagement in everyday work.
This means creating:
Your health is closely linked to manageability – having the capacity and energy to perform.
Good physical, mental and social health are essential for sustaining both wellbeing and performance over time.
To support all employees, we have EA Health (in Swedish EA Hälsa), a network of local wellbeing ambassadors at all our offices.
They inspire healthy habits and organise activities that strengthen wellbeing and a sense of community.
The initiative provides support, while responsibility for personal health is something we all share.
