Father counselling
Support and counselling during the transition to fatherhood
The transition to becoming a father brings, in addition to great joy, new demands and challenges. 25% of new fathers experience postnatal reactions. As a customer with health insurance in Euro Accident, you, as an expectant or new father, have access to Father counselling to strengthen and support your well-being and health
Through Father counselling, you are offered specialized guidance and support, and if necessary, help navigating to the appropriate healthcare services, so that natural reactions to a new life phase do not develop into poor well-being, sick leave, etc.
The counselling is provided by an experienced midwife, and you can book an appointment for Father counselling here (the booking platform is in Danish).
The counselling session lasts 20 minutes and is held as a video meeting. You do not need to have your camera turned on during the session. During the session, you can raise the topics you need counselling on, such as:
- preparing for fatherhood and your role as a new father
- the relationship during pregnancy
- mental well-being
- postnatal reactions, sex, togetherness, and your role in breastfeeding
- your concerns about your partner, etc.
During the counselling session, you will receive guidance and advice, including information about relevant healthcare services if needed. It is also possible to book a follow-up counselling session, where your situation will be revisited.
