It’s always tough and costly when an employee has to take sick leave. His or her absence often becomes apparent in the form of extra expenses to keep the business running – along with reduced productivity. Employees who are ill and still come to work – “sick presence” – also contribute less than when they are healthy.

We also know that it is one of the employee benefits that is consistently rated highest among the desired benefits when people are choosing an employer. You can pay the insurance for all your employees or offer coverage as an optional benefit.

Your employees have access to professional advice from our own nurses and psychologists, as well as appointments with specialists in our authorised network, which covers the whole country.

Gold customers are always given first priority
As Gold customers, your employees receive an exclusive “Gold Customer” phone number, which means minimum waiting time when they call us. In addition, their cases will always be given priority when it comes to booking care and surgery.
Always access to a GP
For many symptoms, it is often sufficient to contact a GP to receive appropriate treatment, a prescription for medication or a referral. For this reason, the E-care service is included in the private medical insurance without deductible and at no extra cost. The service is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
Counselling support for major and minor issues in life
Your employees also have access to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), which means access to free counselling from a psychologist, ergonomist, financial adviser, legal adviser or health coach. If they are managers or work in HR, they can also access support in their professional role. Support is initially provided by phone.

The insurance applies for planned private care in Sweden. For acute care abroad, the policy covers the deductible in the travel or home insurance policy up to a value of SEK 5,000.
There is no deductible in this insurance policy.
The insurance is purchased with a quarantine period, which means that the policy is not valid for any complaint of which the employee have shown symptoms, for which the employee has received care, or for which the employee has you have taken medication before the insurance came into effect. If the employee has been free from symptoms for more than a year, the insurance may apply again.
You can purchase this insurance for employees who are covered by a group agreement with Euro Accident and:
- are aged between 16 and 64
- live and are registered as resident in the Nordic region (excluding Iceland)
- are entitled to compensation from Forsäkringskassan in Sweden or its equivalent in the other Nordic countries.
The insurance can be purchased up to the employee’s 65th birthday.
Employees who are covered by a group agreement with Euro Accident also have the opportunity to purchase insurance for their spouse, cohabiting partner, registered partner or their children. These people will then be co-insured with the employee.
The insurance applies until no later than the month in which the employee turns 67.
If the company pays the insurance premiums, 60 percent of the price will be considered a taxable benefit for the employee. If the company pays the premiums for a co-insured family member, 100 percent of the price will be considered a taxable benefit.
